Violectric HPA V324: A New Benchmark in Compact Audiophile Headphone Amplification

Renowned German audio specialist Violectric has unveiled the HPA V324, a new addition to its prestigious lineup of headphone amplifiers. Compact in form but powerful in performance, the HPA V324 offers exceptional sound quality, versatile connectivity, and classic analog styling, including dual illuminated VU meters.

Advanced Symmetrical and Asymmetrical Circuit Design

At the heart of the HPA V324 lies a sophisticated circuit topology engineered by chief designer Fried Reim. This architecture supports both symmetrical and asymmetrical headphone operation with excellent channel separation and ultra-low distortion—regardless of the output configuration.

Users can connect their headphones via a balanced 4-pin XLR, 4.4mm Pentaconn, or traditional 6.3mm unbalanced jack on the front panel. The HPA V324’s symmetrical output ensures optimal signal fidelity, while its robust circuit design eliminates distortion across all outputs.

The iconic VU meters feature analog needle indicators housed in a softly illuminated design. Users can adjust their sensitivity through DIP switches located on the rear panel.

Flexible Inputs and Output Control

Designed for convenience and adaptability, the HPA V324 includes both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA (Cinch) input options. A front panel toggle lets users select the active input channel, while a second switch determines output mode: headphones only, preamp out, or both simultaneously.

To fine-tune gain structure, a six-step Pre-Gain switch is included, allowing output levels from -18 dBU to +12 dBU. This provides better synergy with sources of varying voltage levels and ensures precise control when driving sensitive headphones.

Volume is handled by a premium Alps RK27 potentiometer, and the motorized control mechanism supports remote operation via infrared (IR) remotes.

Output Options and Headphone Protection

On the front, users will find three headphone outputs—one 6.3mm single-ended jack, one 4.4mm balanced Pentaconn, and one 4-pin XLR. The rear offers a stereo RCA line-out and a balanced XLR stereo output for preamp functionality.

Thanks to its extremely low output impedance, the HPA V324 delivers a high damping factor, making it compatible with virtually all headphones on the market. Integrated protection circuits guard against power surges, short circuits, and pop noises during on/off switching or plug removal. A front-panel LED indicates the activation of these protective systems.

The Pre-Gain switch also enables users to match output levels to the sensitivity of their headphones, whether low-impedance IEMs or high-impedance studio cans.

German Engineering at Its Finest

As with all Violectric products, the HPA V324 is engineered and hand-built in Germany at the company’s own facility. Each unit undergoes a rigorous multi-stage quality control process to ensure long-lasting reliability and superior build quality. The precision construction and high-end components deliver not just exceptional performance, but also tactile and visual refinement.

Pricing and Availability

The Violectric HPA V324 will be available beginning July 2025, with a recommended retail price of RM 13,599.00
