The Lake People Phone-Amp G108 combines the advanteges of the G105 MKII with a four-channel amplifier for “True Balanced” playback over headphones.So, the 4-pin XLR connector on the front is functional and not only a “convenience feature”.
While the balanced operation of headphones with all its advantages has found a broad base among musc lovers, this type of playback is not yet very widespread among professionals. G108 steps up to change that.
Like the G105 MKII, G108 also offers useful additional functions such as a balance control, which becomes a mixer between the two inputs when “MONO” is selected, further a “PHASE” function, which inverts the right channel to check the stereo image.
This functionality and the “True Balanced” headphone operation make it unique on the market.
