PLUSSOUND COPPER XL
Introducing our new large sized 18AWG pure copper wire designed for IEMs.
Through experimentation and striving for maximum performance, we developed our largest wire to date. To achieve the desired ergonomics and performance we were looking for, it was paramount that the XL wire incorporates certain elements that have made our designs successful. Based on our signature Type 6 design, the added thickness allow us to significantly increase groups bundles to 36 (compared to just 6 on 26AWG wire) to nearly eliminate electrical resistance to improve output power, making it more efficient to drive all IEM and headphones on any source. We also implemented varied dampening cores for the first time, allowing us to do a number of things: maintaining a round shape for consistent conductivity, prevent mechanical vibrations that will affect interference and interruptions, plus softens the XL wire to make it as flexible as its smaller counterpart for on-the-go use. In addition, each wire strand comes with enamel coating over silver layer to decrease electrical anomalies (i.e. skin and proximity effect) and preventing oxidation (i.e. turning green) over time to maintain same cosmetic aesthetics for many years. Our proprietary outer insulation is one of the best on the market and used on XL wire for maximum flexibility and durability. Once they are produced, XL wires will undergo deep cryo treatment to align crystal boundaries more closely to each other to transmit electrical signals faster with less distortion and low electrical resistance, and reducing noise to permanently maintain excellent sound quality.
This unique 2-wire X cable consists of one 18AWG XL wires per channel intended for IEM use for all purposes. If you are looking for a performance cable that has a highly refined copper sound with excellent ergonomics, you won’t find another quite like this one.
